The Las Vegas National
Wildlife Refuge is located six miles southeast of Las Vegas and consists of 8,672 acres of
grassland, cropland, marshes, ponds, forested canyons and streams.
The refuge provides a habitat for migratory birds, hawks, Sandhill cranes, eagles and
waterfowl.
