#1. Las Vegas offers many accommodations
to wide array of tastes. What hotel do you like staying in when
visiting Las Vegas and Why?
* I make it a
point to stay at the Rio whenever I'm in Las Vegas, the employees go out
of their way to attend to your comfort. Goodtime7
* I like to stay at the
Luxor casino for many of reasons like the 24hour spa, the spacious casino
,not so many peddlers at the end of the strip, and most of all RA the best
nightclub in VEGAS!!! DREAMING VEGAS !! Superior WI
* I've stayed at
Riviera, Luxor, Harrah's, Flamingo Hilton, Bally's, and Townhall Days Inn.
Here's how I'd rate them on a scale of 1 - 10: Riviera "6" -
clean; great food; lacking in amenities [1994] Luxor "9.5"
- awesome in every way except end-of-strip location (I understand there
are trams now - that would make it a "10") [1995] Harrah's
"8" - beautiful casino; great location; good food; average rooms
[1999] Flamingo Hilton "8.5" - wonderful tropical
atmosphere, especially the grounds and pool area; average rooms; great
location; restaurants mediocre to poor - eat elsewhere [1997] Bally's
"8" - good location; elegant mini suite; nice shopping
mall; could use a facelift [1998] Townhall Days Inn "0.5"
(off strip behind Bally's - free promotional trip): poor location; filthy,
tiny casino; horrible, rude service - locked us out of our room - their
error - didn't even apologize!); clean room [1996] Slots are the same
everywhere - hit or miss. What an exciting place to vacation -
plenty to do even if you don't gamble! We're trying Mandalay Bay in
June. Sharon Kempf
* My husband and I
love staying at the Mirage and Bellagio. The service is wonderful,
Restaurants are fabulous. And the rooms are spacious and clean.
Sincerely, Joan Tatigikis
* Western Hotel /
Casino....very reasonable rates/ clean rooms...payouts are great on
slots. dwrock
* In the warm
weather we like the Tropicana. The pool is large and tropical, and we like
their breakfast buffet. GBSJ277
* I like to stay
at least for part of my vacation in whatever hotel is 'hot'. Last year it
was the Venetian - it was an excellent experience despite all the bad
reports we read about it before we went. This year I guess it will be
Paris unless the Aladdin comes in on time. In Vegas stay at the best -
most expensive -or the best bargain - nothing in between. Elaine

* I have stayed at
the Stardust, the Frontier, and most recently The Mirage. My husband and I
both agree that the Mirage is very pretty, but we will probably stay at a
hotel off the strip next time. The price of a hotel room at the Mirage was
$159.00 a night. We could stay elsewhere for about half and have more
money to gamble and do shows. We will probably stay downtown next time. E.

* I stay at a
different hotel every trip, however the best time I ever had, I was at the
Stardust. Great sports book, good view of the strip from the odd numbered
rooms in the tower, One of the few times I won money on the machines, and
you can walk to nearby casinos with ease. Plus its much less crowded than
the south end of the strip, and not many kids. New buffet is very good,
plus a great steakhouse and rib joint. Good luck! Benny Low
* Love to stay at
the Castaways...oops, tore down for a bigger hotel. Well, I have stayed at
most of them and I like Imperial Palace the best. Easy to get to the rooms
if you really need to go to your room. Easy to find a parking place in
there garage, but most of all, the friendly atmosphere. You can sit at the
bar and see everybody coming and going, have great conversations with the
bartender and always find the front door! I also like the Caesars Palace
for beauty and to be pampered. It is beautiful inside. The Stardust and
the Bellagio for their buffet. Price is not an issue with me, good food
is! There are too many good things to say about most of them I don't think
I have room. They are all competing to have you stay with them so read up
on them here or brochures to see what YOU like in a hotel. Charles
Ramsey
