Personally I dont care what someone does in their own home.
I am just concerned if they do drugs and drive cars or work in jobs that
demand high concentration. Alicia B. Jersey Girl
Might as well let people have drugs like Marijuana, it is no
different than proabition for alcohol in the 1920's. If the people
want it, they will find a way to buy it, so you might as well tax it. Lawrence

Why not, beer, wine and whiskey is legal. Not only would it raise tax
revenues, but it would also bolster the economy by everyone getting the
munchies and buying more food. chuck merica Omaha, Ne I
do not think it should be legalized as I feel the selling and
distribution of marijuana would be a marketing nightmare. I feel there
would always be a black market for a stronger product. It should be made
such a minor offence for the user that it is not a black mark on one's
record. Similar to a parking ticket if at all. Still leaving the
distribution to dealers who would be prosecuted if they were selling
stronger more illegal products. Susan Perle Toronto
Canada It should be legalized to drive the criminals out of
business. The cost of the drug war is higher than any damage caused by
use. We can't stop drug useage so why create an income stream for
criminals that can't pay tax if they wanted to. We turn our streets into
shooting fields and make work for cops, lawyers, and prison guards.
Greg Palm Bay, FL No, Don't legalize it. next they will
want to legalize other drugs. The goverment needs to stop spending our
money.Stop taxing us to death. If the goverment would get smaller, and
mine there own busness the whole world would be better.Less goverent
less taxes. Let each state govern their self. We don't need the feds to
govern us. Stephen Goodwin Sedalia.Mo Yes
it should be legalized, strictly controlled and heavely taxed. It is not
as adictive or harmful to a persons health as alcohol. If alcohol was
discovered today it would be illegal. It is the most powerful drug you
can buy without a prescription. I have never used
Marijuana, I tried it, didn't care for it. I am a recovering alcoholic
and I smoke cigarettes. Our government spends more money on drug
enforcement and incarsartion of offenders than most other programs.

No, any drug that is taken souly for the mind altering side effects
is wrong. However, regulating it by perscription only would be
acceptable. Has medicinal properties when used properly. Regulation
needed to control the authentisity of the perscription. Sandra
